When you JOIN our club, what would your annual $12 family membership get you?
Kite Workshops - Both sewing & non-sewing, held January through March (these are not to be confused with the kids kite making workshops held during the spring/summer months). Learn how to design and sew your own kite.
At least one in-state club fly per month, May through October. We have flown at Two Rivers, Sheboygan, Appleton, Shawno, Wisconsin Rapids, Fond du lac, Neenah, Fitchburg, Beaver Dam, Dodgeville, Oshkosh (EAA), Marinette, Wautoma, Green Bay, Madison and many more. We will fly anywhere that has a good field and local interest. *Note*- Our club conducts kid's kitemaking workshops. These raise revenue for the club and keeps us solvent. We could really use everyone's help with this....thanks!!!
At least two "official" club meetings per year. Lately, we've been holding several informal meetings as well...whenever we can get a sizeable portion of the membership together, say at a fun fly or other events.
The opportunity to hang out the lots of other fun loving "serious" kiters and enjoy the camaraderie and good food at our annual holiday dinner party with kite raffle. What more could one ask for?!?!
About dues The annual club memberships run from June 1st to May 31st (with dues being payable by May 31st by returning member). Membership dues are pro-rated at the rock bottom price of only $1 per month for any new flyers who join the club later in the season. Say for example you were to join up with us in October, your dues would be $8. If joining up in February, your dues would be only $4, and so on. This will keep everyone on the same "rotation" and also help to make record keeping a bit easier for our Club Treasurer.
Last but NOT the least. We aren't called the "Family Kite Club" for nothing. Your $12 covers not only yourself but everyone else in your household who's interested in joining us. Mom, Dad, the kids, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle jack and even the family dog. Everyone living under one roof , all for the low price of only $12. Hard to beat a deal like that, especially these days!
